Who is Kate sheppard? Kate sheppard is a well known and famous women suffragist that has influenced many people and is recognised for her fight for women’s right to vote here in New zealand, Kate shepard (Real name katherine wilson sheppard) is an emigrate who emigrated from england to new zealand and was born in 1847 and died in 1934, This essay will tell you a lot about who kate sheppard is, why she has started this protest, what she did, and the effect it has on our country and world that has changed in our society today.
Why did Kate Sheppard do this? In the 1800s women did not have a proper role or part in the society and women were strictly restricted for many things, For example in the 1800s women were not allowed to open a bank account or sell their land without the permission of their father or husband, Kate Sheppard was against these rules and believed that women did have a right and role in the society and world, Now you know why kate Sheppard did this and the the cause it had in our society to make it a grater world where women were equal with men and have the right to vote.
What did Kate Sheppard do? Kate Sheppard was very talented and used her knowledge and talent to lead and start a champaign and petition, For example Kate sheppard traveled around New zealand and other countries around the world to influence women with her plan to have the right for women to vote and started a petition that is signed by numerous individuals which will be given and addressed to the government as a request to do something that is commonly for change, Kate Sheppard needed the support to have her plan work so it took over six years for her plan to work and when it did New zealand became known as the first country for women to vote, Now you know how and what kate Sheppard did I hope her leadership and braveness will inspire you to fight for what you believe in.
The effect her petition had in our country. In 1993 she got nearly 32, 000 individuals sign her petition and was finally accepted and passed as a law in new zealand that women had the right to vote, for example Kate Sheppard nearly got 32, 000 people to sign her petition that had a great impact on our society and gave women the right to vote, and because of Kate sheppard's talent and leadership she has changed the world, Now you know the effect her petition had in our country and how it had taken years for it to work it was all worth it at the end.
Now today because of Kate Sheppard's talent and leadership with the help of other women and people, she has has became an inspiration towards people around the world and has made new zealand known for the first country in the world to have the right for women to vote, Now you have it Kate sheppard is a legend and has changed New zealand to this day.

Reading scales
This week for maths we where learning how to read scales on various meaasuring devices in this task I had to watch vides take notes and fill out the slides by what I learnt by watching the videos and on the last slide I had to olay a practice game which was interesting and hard but this task was fun.

Name reflections
Today for maths we had to write are names in capital letters big and put lines on the letters that are symmetrical and then we decorated it.
For my bonus activity I had to write if I think my whole name is symmetrical and that is a no my name is not symmetrical.
