The promise (Literacy)

Today for literacy we read a text called The promise and for my task today I had to answer the question about the text and do an activity about survival and then write my own idea of the ending of the story for my create task, My task was fun and the story was interesting and I enjoyed doing this task today for literacy.

Covid wellness poster

Today for inquiry we worked in a group and planed a covid wellness plan, When we were done planning we got to think of a model we would use and make for our poster, My Covid wellnes poster has 4 topics Family relationship, Safety, Personal health and wellbeing and the lastly Nature/ Outdoor activities, When I got wrote down my topics for each part of the tree I coloured it and wrote bullet points for each topic, This task was very fun and interesting and I enjoyed making this covid wellness poster.

For my create task for my maths fraction slides I had to make a google drawing writing step by step how I solved the slide then make a video, This task was fun and I enjoyed making the video and google drawing.

Today for maths I had to finish of my maths task from last week for my task I had to figure out fractions by adding missing fractions and writing equivalent fractions and writing simplest forms, My task was very fun and interesting learning equivalent fractions ,And writing the simplest forms of fractions.

 

Theseus and the Minotaur - Maths

 

Today for maths our task was based on the myth of Theseus and Minotaur for our task we had to watch a video of the myth and then read some short simple infomation and brief summarys of these 2 mazes we got to take a look at and answer the questions that were about the mazes and do the create task for it where I had to draw my own maze, After that we watched videos iving us a brief summary of the history of numerical system and solve basic facts writing it in achient greek, This task was very fun and simple and I enjoyed doing and learning this task.

Taha wairua: NZSL for Aotearoa

 Today for our Te whare tapa wha task our theme is Taha wairua and for our task today we have to take a photo of us doing the sign language for aoteroa and put the video in our post of the new zealand anthem with sign language. This task was very fun, easy and simple and I enjoyed making this post.

Today at assemby we had a special guest Joseph parker come visit are school are assembly ran normaly but the best thing was that he came and talked about 2 good things he did in his carrer the first thing he did at the assembly was he played a little bit of guitar and also introduced himself and told us 2 things that where good korero's for this week and it was really cool and exciting having him come to our school.

The Pros and cons of the Biosphere 2 experiment

For are inquiry create task we had to write down pros (for) and cons (against) for the bisphere 2 experiment I used lots of information for pros from the first bisphere 2 task I did and for cons I used how I felt about the experiment and the bad discoverys people have found there. This task was really easy and interesting to do and it was also fun.

 Today for inquiry we learnt about Biosphere 2 for are task today we had to watch a video that gave us information about bisphere and and answerd are questions when we where watching the video we had to write notes so we could write are summary afterwards it was really interesting to learn about.

Introduction to Decimals

This week for maths I learned about Decimals I had to watch 2 videos which helped me with each slide in the first couple of slides I had know my decimals so I read the decimal number and write it in the word version next on slide 4 I had to write down the value of the highlighted number next I had to write down what I learned in the video about How you convert decimals into fractions and then next was my favourite part where I had to draw and shade the following fraction then convert them into decimals that are at the top and on the last slide I had to write down the fraction of the decimal which was the most difficult for me but I tryed my best.

Isometric name

For maths I had to draw my name on a sheet of paper that had dots all around it I drew my name with another sheet of paper that had a Isometric alphabet on it and when I finished drawing my name I had to color it in and make it look pretty next I had to cut it out and stick it on a sheet of paper. This activity was really fun and was a calming thing to do in class.

Today we got to watch our schools production they have been practicing for a long time it was really fun and cool watching them act, sing and dance that it has inspired me to join some productions when I go to college my highlight when I was wachting their production (The toy shop) was the dancers and optomus prime doing their dance it was fun.

Laolao I like your latitude scratch

This term we created our animations by using code on scratch. The reason we are using code
is because this term our theme is I like your Latitude so we are making a DLO about countries all around the world by using facts and telling people about this country.  So we learnt about coding and about different countries. When I made my animation on Scratch I made sure that I was also writing down my facts about the country including the coordinates of this country. The three continents that I picked were Africa, America and Australia.

why are school holidays important.

Why are school holidays important ?

We need school holidays to have a break from learning and rest our brains.
School holidays are good for kids to help them be kids while there still kids
and enjoy their age.

School holidays help kids grow confident and talk more clearly by spending
more time with family and that helps kids make friends at school. But school
helps kids get a good education by learning but sometimes kids just need
a break.

School holidays help students at school rest and have a break and when they
come back to school there refreshed and ready to start a new day of learning.
Kids can learn things at home in the holidays that will help them at school
sometimes it’s an inspiring life lesson that they will carry with them till they
are older.

When kids are at home in the holidays they can help their parents do chores or
help them cook and that's really important for kids because it helps them achieve
what they want to be when they grow up like being a famous chief, and when
they go back to school they will learn and focus on being what they want to
be when they grow up and focus on the challenges towards their future.

School holidays are important for kids to have a break and enjoy their life
while there still young school holidays help kids step out of their comfort
zone and achieve great things and it’s really important for students to have an
opportunity to spend time with their family and focus on great goals for the future.
