Term 4 Art Alive and my goals!
This year for term 4 the theme and korero is Art alive so we would be learning a lot about different types of Art, For example we might be looking at traditional and cultural art from around the world or more modern art that we see a lot around our community and in homes. For the last term of Me being a year eight I am looking foward to achieving and acomplishing many things in my learning and in my personal life, This term my goal is to work hard and focus on my learning to get to high standards and be at a level that I would like and be satisfied with knowing that I acomplished it and also make the most of my time as a year eight with my friends and class and make memories that I will carry along with me throughout my college years.

Art class rotation: Andy warhole
Yesterday on tuesday for my secound rotation for art we were in room 5, Our focus was on Andy Warhol who is an American artist, film director and producer, The main thing we learnt about him was his art, He is famous for his art work Campbells soup cans and art works of Marilyn monroe, After we learnt about him we had to make our own pop art on a piece of paper using crayons, The first thing we did was half the paper in 4 quarters and then draw the same image of a tomato soup can in each box, after that we had to colour it in we all had 7 colours each and we had to make all the images different in colour. This task was very fun and I enjoyed doing this rotation.

Why do we need school?
Why do we need school?
Introduction:
Do you go to school? If you don’t kids go to school to learn, get a good career or a job in the future and to socialise with friends and people around us, Here in New Zealand it is compulsory for kids to go to school from the age of five all the way to sixteen,In every school you have a principal who is the head of the school ,and teachers to teach students who attend school, This essay will explain a lot about why we need and go to school.
Body paragraph 1:
Why is it important for children to go to school to learn? It is important for kids to learn at school because it helps them in the world and they would not always have to depend on other people to help them, For example at school we learn to read, write and also learn to do maths by learning these subjects we can be able to count money when you are going to the shop or read directions on a map and buy things in a shop, this will help you alot when you grow up and help you be an independent person.
Body paragraph 2:
Why do we have to go to school to get a job, When you go to college you can pick classes and courses to take to get a job you would like in the future or when you leave college, For example at school we learn science, Learning science can help you become a doctor if you want to become a doctor, This is why we have to go to school to get a job because it can help you get the career you want in the future.
Body paragraph 3:
We need to go to school to socialise, In school we learn to socialise by doing simple things like just talking and communicating with people around you and even participating in many school activities, For example in school when you are doing a project or working in a group you got to communicate with each other and that helps you in the future to get a job because talking and being around people can help you be confident and appropriate around people.
Conclusion:
So now that you have read my essay about why do we need school, It will help you in becoming an independent person by learning in school to get a job and to socialise with people.
